Our beloved pizza dough has been a hit since it launched and we want to make sure people keep enjoying fresh made pizza with friends and family.
When purchasing brodflour pizza dough, please keep in mind that it is a living product and is best enjoyed as soon as possible. That said, it can last about a day in the fridge before use. We have tested freezing it, which works, but we would still recommend using it while it’s fresh for best results.
When you’re ready to get your pizzaiolo on, pull the pizza dough out of the fridge and flip it out onto a floured surface to rise for 30 minutes to an hour. Once it has risen by about half and is looking light and airy, you can stretch it to your desired size and shape.
It is best to watch videos online for the proper shaping technique. Our favourite method simply involves lightly pushing the dough with your fingertips from the centre of the dough towards the outer edge, rotating as you go. You should not roll out pizza dough using a rolling pin – you want to keep as much air in the dough as possible ad using a rolling pin will force air out of the dough.
You’re now ready to top your pizza dough! Once you’ve sauced it and decorated it with your favourite toppings, you can pop it in an oven preheated to 450 degrees for about 10 minutes depending on desired doneness.
